Small Rainbow Counting Blocks

A graduated set of wooden blocks steps up from short to tall, each height finished in its own shade so the whole staircase runs through the colours of the rainbow. Children can count along the steps one by one, compare heights side by side, or simply enjoy building the sequence back into its neat staircase shape.

Beyond counting, this set is a lovely hands-on introduction to number sequencing and early maths concepts such as more and less, before and after, and simple addition once children start combining shorter blocks to match a taller one. The rainbow gradient gives an extra visual anchor, helping children link colour, order and number together.

Made from sustainably sourced basswood and finished with non-toxic, water-based stain, every block is smooth and satisfying to handle. The pieces sit together in their own tray, so counting time always ends with a tidy staircase back in place.

A thoughtful early maths gift for a birthday or Christmas list, equally at home in a playroom or as a first introduction to Montessori-style counting.

Please note: As our blocks are coloured using stain rather than opaque paint, the natural grain and character of the wood remains visible. Occasionally, a small amount of colour transfer can occur where pieces have rubbed together during transit. This is cosmetic and can generally be removed gently with a soft cloth.
